Henry Reichhold

Henry Reichhold was born in New York and spent time in both Cuba and Switzerland before settling in the United Kingdom. Now based in London, he is a photographer who has worked extensively with both mobile imaging and super high resolution travel images.

Educated at Dartington College of Arts and University of Warwick, Henry took his love of painting into the digital world by merging pointillism and pixels to create a vibrant style that was to be featured on the covers of many photographic journals.

The results of Henry’s style is that his images, whether taken with a mobile phone or a high resolution camera, are pieces which capture the spirit and atmosphere of his subjects, be it ballet, cityscapes or huge panoramic images. What sets his work out from others’ is an ability to capture the elusive and intangible – his challenge is always to take the camera’s machine eye view and use it as a tool that both entertains and inspires.

His work has been seen by millions with a series of exhibitions at Heathrow Terminal 5, as well as the Royal Albert Hall, Tower Bridge, Dubai Airport, the Theatre Museum, the Atrium Gallery,  'Second life’, the Loading Bay Gallery, Armory Arts Center in Los Angeles and Nokia HQ.

His Tower Bridge exhibition won awards for Canon and his Nokia short film ‘Freerun’ took second place in the Paris Short Film Festival. His work has been featured by the BBC, the Times and Sunday Telegraph as well as countless other journals both on and offline.

Henry has taught a very successful digital imaging course at Central Saint Martins for the past 10 years.
